USA Series Original Tremolo System
2025 marks a bold new era for Floyd Rose. With USA production now at the heart of our operations, we’ve taken full control of manufacturing our classic Original Tremolo System to deliver tighter quality standards, faster production times, and the legendary reliability that’s made Floyd Rose the top choice for over 45 years.
By building our tremolos in the new Floyd Rose USA manufacturing facility, we are elevating our long-time commitment to quality and innovation. New features include:
•USA-made saddles: Crafted from premium hardened tool steel, these saddles are precision CNC-machined in our NC factory for maximum durability and performance. Now available in multiple radii to perfectly match your fretboard for enhanced playability.
•USA-made 3D-printed steel locking nuts: Engineered using revolutionary 3D printing technology, these locking nuts deliver intricate detailing, tighter tolerances, and exceptional performance. Available in various radii, they ensure a precise fit and optimal tuning stability for all playing styles.
New USA Series 6-string Original Tremolos are currently in stock in chrome. Black finish Originals will begin shipping by the end of February followed by nickel, gold, and black nickel tremolos in March.
New 3D-Printed Steel Original Locking Nuts
We’re also proud to announce the release of our groundbreaking USA-made Original 3D-printed steel locking nuts, offering a new level of quality and craftsmanship to the legendary product line.
Leveraging advanced metal 3D printing technology, the new Floyd Rose Original locking nuts deliver unmatched precision and consistency, replacing the traditional “lost wax” casting method that dominated for decades. The shift to 3D printing allows for intricate detailing and tighter tolerances, ensuring each nut meets exact specifications.
The process begins with powdered metal, which is precisely 3D printed into the desired shape using advanced metal printing technology. After printing, the parts are depowdered and cleaned before undergoing a sintering process—an advanced heat treatment—during which the parts achieve full density and hardness. Lastly, the nuts are CNC “kiss-cut” to exacting specifications for consistency and control of the fit before receiving a premium electroplating finish.
We’re bringing back the classic ten nut sizes and will be expanding into offering different radii in 2025 to match our new USA Original Saddles.
New USA locking nuts have already begun replacing the German versions in R2 and R3 sizes, with the other nut sizes to follow over the next three months.
