FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OCTOBER 17, 2005. NEPTUNE, NJ – Floyd Rose Guitars was recently named Honorary Manufacturer of the Year for 2005 by Start magazine at its 2005 Manufacturer of the Year Awards. Start magazine, considered the voice of the manufacturing executive, focuses on the greater business issues that can be solved for manufacturing executives through technology. Top executives have come to rely on Start for sound technological advice coupled with solid coverage of the financial, political, and management news shaping American manufacturing.

Floyd Rose, who first revolutionized the guitar industry in 1977 with the introduction of the Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo, has revolutionized the industry once again with the introduction of Floyd Rose Guitars equipped with the Speedloader Series Bridges. The Speedloader Series represents a radical advancement in guitar, bridge and string design. The Speedloader Bridge and Speedloader Strings build upon the legendary tuning stability, durability and versatility of the original Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo however the integrated Speedloader Bridge and Speedloader String design allows a complete set of strings to be changed in less than one minute by eliminating the need for tuning keys, wrenches, string stretching or major re-tuning.

The Speedloader System comes standard on every Floyd Rose Guitar including the Floyd Rose Redmond Series, Floyd Rose International Series and the Floyd Rose Discovery Series. Each model features the unique Floyd Rose “cut out” headstock design with no tuning pegs, a Rock Maple neck and top quality wood body which when combined with the Speedloader System makes it the epitome of innovation.

“It’s great to be recognized by a publication that is so respected and well known for recognizing great products and new innovations,” says Andy Papiccio, General Manager of Floyd Rose. “The Floyd Rose guitar and the Speedloader System are both examples of a revolutionary technology that benefits guitar players regardless of their age, ability or style of music. It’s great to know that our vision is being validated not only by technological experts but by the thousands of guitar players using Floyd Rose products every day.”

Along with Floyd Rose Guitars, other finalists in this years competition were also some of the brightest names in manufacturing and innovation including Proctor & Gamble, Pepsico, Sherwin-Williams, Texas Instruments, The Timberland Co. and many more. “Tonight’s winners are remarkable companies that strive for excellence.” Said John Buell, editor-in-chief of Start magazine. “It is always a pleasure to encounter dedication both in and around the manufacturing industry.”
